Apple Watch

I generally agree with this well-written review of Apple Watch on Engadget. It is a beautiful, outstandingly-engineered piece of hardware — as well designed as anything that Apple has done in the past. And much of the software is very nice as well. Minimalist, as one would expect with such a small screen, but nearly always pleasantly functional.

But is the Apple Watch as revolutionary as iPhone was when first introduced? No. Apple Watch is definitely more of a luxury good, a nice-to-have item. And because it currently must be paired with an iPhone to work, that also helps give away its true value: it’s an enhancement to already-existing iPhone technology, but no more.
